Yo-Yo Ma is one of the most talented and well known musicians of our time. Working with him on his global brand has been a highlight of my career. Not only is Mr. Ma an incredible musician, but he is also a humanitarian, a global thought leader, and a United Nations Messenger of Peace. He explores music as a vehicle for the migration of ideas across a range of cultures throughout the world. He considers himself “…human being first, musician second, cellist third.” This trio is represented in the logomark I created. The three waves are intertwined and constantly moving and changing. The colors I selected were inspired by the warm oranges and yellows of the wood of a cello, paired with Mr. Ma’s favorite color, blue.
